Look how cute this face is. Can you really resist me?

Look at my feathering on my tail. That means I'm getting older. See, when you're a puppy our tails are like cork screws and it isn't until we get around 6-8 mos. does it start to fall. I'm also getting feathering on my britches.

If you look into my eyes, you'll see confusion. I'm not sure of myself. I'm deaf and that poses problems of itself, but my little brain is confused too. I don't know when to stop and relax like other dogs. It's like having an on/off button and the off button doesn't work. My foster mom, who's an angel, lets me run and run, both in the house and the yard. I can easily do this all day, but she stops me after about an hour and loves on me to relax. Then it starts all over again. When I wear myself out, I sleep in my kennel peacefully and quietly through the whole night.

Please, Please, Please. I want a treat too.

My foster siblings have taught me so much. From them I learned to sit for my treat. Bogie, the dark Setter, has taught me to play with stuffies and on walks, sniff around trees. Everyone has taken such good care for me. I just love them all!

Foster Home Update

In just 2 weeks at our home, Gavin has made great strides from the frail pup that came to us. He came into rescue with 2 acute inner ear infections. Although this appears to be the reason for the constant shaking of the head, sadly it wasn't the reason for his circling or pacing behavior, that he continues to have. He's been tested 3 times and does NOT show any sign of any tick borne illness. We can't explain or understand what might be a neurological issue or if he will ever overcome it. Being so young, he might have a chance of some normalcy, but we just don't know.

He has gained 5 lbs with his new diet and supplements, displays a eagerness to play with other dogs and enjoys walks with his foster siblings. He definitely isn't the frail pup that came to us just a month ago. You can see he's gotten a stronger, muscular body tone and his fur is soft and healthy looking. Health issues aside, Gavin is being the puppy we think he should be at 10 mos.. Gavin is so cute when he empties all the toys out of the toy box one by one until the boxes are empty. He is a puppy and loves to run, but after all that energy has been used he loves to cuddle with his foster mom. He loves affection and human touch and will leans on your legs to get hugs and cuddles.

Gavin is a Special Needs little guy that will need a home that can give him a lot of love, patience, and time.

I'm GETTING OUT OF HERE!!!!

I'm going to a rescue group that's going to help me.

It was a looooong trip. I'm tired.

Wow! does this feel right.

This is what I'm talk'n about. Love!!!

I'm just a tiny little Setter, but I have a BIG heart to share with someone special. YOU?

Nothing Wrong with my Sniffer or Eyes

His focus is so good that he POINTS EVERYTHING!! In March we tested his scenting abilities on pheasant, and he was the STAR of the day!

A little hunter possibly.

.
I can't hear the rustle of the tall grass, but I can smell them.

I can see them.

But I don't want to hurt them.
